A fire broke out at a kitchen market in Uttara Sector-11 in the capital this afternoon (28 January).
The blaze started around 5:30pm.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Rakibul Hasan, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence’s control room, said they received the fire alert at 5:38pm. “Three firefighting units from the Uttara and Tongi stations reached the spot by 5:42pm.”
The cause of the fire and details of any casualties were not immediately known.
