A Dhaka court has sentenced Abhijit Adhikari Tirtha, a close associate of former NRB Global Bank and Reliance Finance managing director Prashanta Kumar (PK) Halder, to seven years in prison in a corruption case.
Judge Md Hasanuzzaman of Dhaka Special Judge’s Court-1 delivered the verdict today (22 June) in the absence of the accused, who has been absconding since the beginning of the case.
Abhijit, former managing director of Sukhada Properties Ltd, was convicted under two separate charges related to corruption.
