The Ministry of Public Administration promoted 264 assistant secretaries to the post of senior assistant secretary.
A notification was issued in this regard last night (24 March), according to which the promotions were made under Rule 5(B) of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Appointment) Rules, 1981.
The officers will receive the senior scale pay (sixth grade of the national pay scale, 2015: Tk35,500 to Tk67,010).
The promoted officers will send joining letters to the senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration as special officers-in-charge (senior assistant secretary). Until further orders, they will continue to work at their current postings.
