A new committee of the 11th BCS Forum was formed at a special meeting of its executive committee held yesterday (1 March) at the BIAM Foundation auditorium in the capital.
Retired secretary Dr Md Faridul Islam was elected president, while retired secretary Md Ehsanul Haque was elected general secretary. Former vice-principal of Dhaka Medical College Dr Abdul Hanif (Tablu) was elected first vice-president, confirmed a press release issued today (2 March).
The release said members discussed various organisational matters and the forum’s future course of action. Following detailed discussions, a proposal to form a new committee was placed and unanimously approved.
Members present at the meeting congratulated the newly elected leaders and expressed hope that the forum’s activities would become more dynamic under the new leadership.
