The government today (4 March) transferred 10 officials holding the rank of superintendent of police (SP).
Under the reshuffle, new SPs have been appointed in Bogura, Sylhet, Barishal, Jamalpur, Mymensingh and Khagrachari, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
As per the notification, Bogura SP Md Shahadat Hossain has been transferred to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn), while Khagrachari SP Mirza Sayem Mahmud has been appointed as the new SP of Bogura.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Md Mostak Sarkar has been appointed as the SP of Khagrachari district.
Meanwhile, Mymensingh SP Md Mizanur Rahman has been transferred to the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Noakhali. In his place, DMP Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Kamrul Hasan has been appointed as the SP of Mymensingh.
Sylhet SP Quazi Akhter Ul Alam has also been transferred to the APBn, while Jamalpur SP Chowdhury Md Jaber Sadek has been appointed as the new SP of Sylhet.
DMP Deputy Commissioner Farhana Yasmin has been appointed as the SP of Jamalpur district.
In Barishal, SP Farzana Islam has been transferred to the River Police, while AZM Mustafizur Rahman, assistant inspector general at Police Headquarters, has been appointed as the new SP of the district.
